James Patton Funeral Directors

The blog's creator, James Patton, is a licensed funeral director and embalmer based out of the Houston, Texas area. He began his funeral service career as a chapel representative, while attending mortuary college. After attending and graduating from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service, he served his apprenticeship as a provisional funeral director and embalmer. Once licensed, his journey continued and included experience in both independent and corporate funeral homes. His corporate experience included funeral home and cemetery management, as well becoming actively involved in sales and marketing.

Today, as an independent funeral consultant, he assists and advises funeral service providers in all aspects of the industry, but has a particular focus on management, sales and marketing strategies. He travels extensively, but is always available for consultation. He has been featured on Fox News, including My Fox Houston. He is also a regular contributor of industry-related articles and conducts training seminars related to sales, marketing and social media for funeral service.
